Dear Lylie

I am horrified to have come to this thread so late and missed all of this, I am so very very sorry to read about lovely Helen. She started symptoms about the same time as all my problems after the RTX as I recall but thankfully the neuropathy did not carry on progressing as it clearly has for Helen, but having said that I need to have a neuro review. Very much thinking and praying for your desperately poor health issues family wide.

Re the drug option I have to say that on balance I might be tempted to give it one last shot and then draw the line Lylie.

What are your thoughts on this today?

Love

Jenni xx

Dear Lylie

I haven't put up a post on here because to be honest I really don't know what to say.

I remember not long after I joined NRAS Aug 2008 I started to read your post about Helen and how I kept logging on during the day to read of how she was.

I've laughed and cried at your post about how you have dealt with all thats been thrown at you.

Words really do fail me but I just want to say that I am thinking of you Lylie, Helen, Colin and all your family and sending all of your all my love.

Paula x x x x

Many thanks to you all, we go from day to day and keep in touch with each other as much as we can, but its very hard to talk to my kids and not let on what else is going on, each one of us can only take so much!
Could I also ask you to keep your fingers crossed for Andrew, my youngest please................he's been made redundant TWICE in 16 weeks and is desperate for a job doing absolutely anything! He has a possibility of a job in his local (and I MEAN local, almost next door!!) ALDI, they are looking for ONE store assistant AND a trainee deputy manager, so I have suggested he should apply for both as he's done this work before and loved it, a boost to his confidence and self esteem is MUCH needed, I just KNOW he can do it if he gets an interview. Good Luck to your Andrew, Lylie,
Smart idea to apply for both and previous experience sounds hopeful,
...and talk about convenient, almost next door!
Fingers crossed for this to work out, do let us know how things go for him xx

Hi Lylie

Really hope your son Andrew get an interview for the job vacancy, so much deserved after being made redundant twice too.

Will be keeping everything crossed for him.

Lylie, sending good luck to Andrew, and sincerely hope he gets offered a job, its soul destroying to be unemployed even for a short time. Thinking of you and your family, and sending lots of ((((hugs))))) to you all x x

Isn't it lovely to be able to do some small thing and give someone a great deal of pleasure?

yesterday I went to the pet shop for some dog treats (bribery to get the puppies to come back when called!!).................and there in a tiny cage was a minute baby hamster with ONE eye; his brother had fought with him and the eye had later been removed surgically. He was looking (pardon the pun) for a new home. So I bought him and delivered him to my son Andrew and his partner, Val, who has grieved for her hamster (who died of old age) for some weeks, she had kept all the bedding, cage, and all the bits a hamster-about-town needs. Val and Andrew were SO thrilled and we all had a good cry...so that went well!!

I was so thrilled to be able to give them so much pleasure by spending just a fiver on a "faulty" hamster........and he really is SO sweet, the shop crew has handled him a lot during his convalescence so he loves cuddles!!! Oh, and his name is JACK for those who may wish to know!!!

Oh Lylie, what a lovely thing to do, making sure Jack went to a good, caring home!

Fingers crossed for Andrew that he gets the job at Aldi.

Take care,

Kathleen x
